According to the IMD, light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers are anticipated, accompanied by a cloudy sky. The temperature is expected to drop to 36 degrees Celsius on Friday, a significant decrease from the scorching range of 41 to 44 degrees Celsius forecasted for Thursday.

Rainfall Patterns and Forecast

Hyderabad typically experiences its rainy season from mid-June to October. Last year, the city received a cumulative rainfall of 769.5 mm during the southwest monsoon, exceeding the normal 615.4 mm. Despite the overall excess rainfall, some areas recorded amounts closer to the average.

Deviation in Various Mandals

Several mandals in Hyderabad, including Shaikpet, Maredpally, Charminar, Asifnagar, Nampally, Khairatabad, Secunderabad, and Tirumalgiri, reported rainfall deviations higher than the city’s average during the last monsoon season. These variations highlight the uneven distribution of rainfall across different parts of the city.
